Turkish Cinnamon Fig Pudding Ingredients

  • 1 liter  milk
  • 13  dried figs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

For the topping:

  • 20 grams shelled walnuts
  • 20 grams shelled pistachio nuts

How to Make Turkish Cinnamon Fig Pudding?

  1. Soak the dried figs in the hot water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Drain the figs, cut off their stems and dice them.
  3. Pour the milk into a medium-sized pot.
  4. Heat until it comes to boil. Do not let boil.
  5. Add the diced figs, heated milk and cinnamon to a bowl and stir them.
  6. Cover the bowl and let the mixture cool to room temperature for about 20 minutes.
  7. Check that the figs will be swollen. Blend the mixture and mash them using a hand blender when the figs swell.
  8. Cover it again and let it sit for about 30 minutes at the room temperature.
  9. Place it in the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours.
  10. Decorate and serve it after it chills.

Topping Suggestion for Service

You can serve it topped with shelled pistachio nuts, walnuts or another spices you liked.
