Turkish Cinnamon Fig Pudding Ingredients
- 1 liter milk
- 13 dried figs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
For the topping:
- 20 grams shelled walnuts
- 20 grams shelled pistachio nuts
How to Make Turkish Cinnamon Fig Pudding?
- Soak the dried figs in the hot water for about 10 minutes.
- Drain the figs, cut off their stems and dice them.
- Pour the milk into a medium-sized pot.
- Heat until it comes to boil. Do not let boil.
- Add the diced figs, heated milk and cinnamon to a bowl and stir them.
- Cover the bowl and let the mixture cool to room temperature for about 20 minutes.
- Check that the figs will be swollen. Blend the mixture and mash them using a hand blender when the figs swell.
- Cover it again and let it sit for about 30 minutes at the room temperature.
- Place it in the refrigerator to chill for about 2 hours.
- Decorate and serve it after it chills.
Topping Suggestion for Service
You can serve it topped with shelled pistachio nuts, walnuts or another spices you liked.
